MY STORY

In 1994, I graduated from East Texas State University (now called Texas A&M at Commerce) with my Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Minor in Counseling. Then in 1996, I successfully completed my Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University. After graduating from ACU, and started working for Buckner Children & Family Services in Longview, Texas as a therapist in August 1996. In 1998, I went into private practice. I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor #14708 and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #4855.

As a Christian counselor, I am always looking for creative ways for people to connect with GOD, find healing, and live their dreams. I am excited about the future and am constantly striving to expand my knowledge and practice. I enjoy participating in workshops on narrative therapy, art therapy, music therapy, psychodrama, InterPlay, play therapy, and many other expressive art therapies.

I am actively pursuing my dreams, even though some of my interests may be simmering in the background. One of these passions is to network with local churches and churches around the United States to assist as a creative consultant. I truly believe that GOD has gifted me to think in innovative and original ways, taking those ideas and developing them into fresh, creative worship experiences. I would love to assist your ministry in this capacity.  I have a passion to guide others to discover their own unique voice and gifts and believe that each person is created in the image of GOD, and HE desires to connect and heal the broken places.
